Sam Houston Elementary PTA provides programs and experiences throughout the school year designed to enrich learning, strengthen our school community, support healthy students, and create memories for our Texans.

Some programs happen annually, while others change from year to year based on the needs of our campus, available resources, and opportunities for our students.

Your PTA membership, fundraising support, volunteer time, and community partnerships help make these programs possible.

STUDENT ENRICHMENT

Special Assemblies
PTA helps bring special educational, cultural, and entertaining assemblies to campus, giving our students opportunities to learn and experience something beyond the classroom.

STEM & Science Support
From STEM Lab resources to science consumables, PTA helps provide hands-on materials that encourage exploration, discovery, and learning.

Literacy Support
PTA supports literacy initiatives including classroom leveled reading resources, our Literacy Library, library needs, and two book fairs during the school year.

Field Trips
PTA helps offset field trip costs, supporting opportunities for our Texans to learn beyond the walls of Sam Houston.

HEALTHY LIFESTYLES

PTA's Healthy Lifestyles programming encourages our Texans and their families to build healthy habits through movement, activity, wellness, and fun.

Family Hot Dog Night
A welcoming opportunity to bring Sam Houston families together and kick off another year of community.

Fall Festival
One of our biggest community traditions, bringing Texans together for an evening of family fun while supporting the work of our PTA.

Family Movie Night
A simple night for our families to gather, relax, and enjoy being together.

Wranglers
Our male-engagement program brings positive male role models onto campus through opportunities such as Fist Bump Fridays, project nights, events, and activities with our students.

Staff Appreciation
Celebrating and supporting the teachers and staff who give so much to our Texans throughout the year.

Classroom & Staff Grants
Providing opportunities for teachers and staff to request resources that enhance the student experience.

Helping celebrate our Texans as they reach elementary milestones.

Campus Support
PTA also responds to needs throughout the year as they arise. Through our Corral Volunteer Team and individual small-group volunteers, we find ways to provide additional support for our staff.
