Volunteers

The Corral Crew is not new for 2026, but being revamped. This is a team of volunteers who help keep the day-to-day life of the Sam Houston staff running smoothly. Whether you have a few minutes, an hour, or time to help regularly, there is a place for you on the crew!

Our goal is simple: give time back to our teachers and staff. By lending a hand with everyday tasks, projects, preparations, and campus needs, our volunteers give more time to focus on what matters most: our students. 

You do not need a special skill, we are happy to train you. 

Have a few minutes? We can put them to good use. 

We will offer teachers the option to have volunteers work in small groups with our students, listening to them read, working on math facts, and helping build confidence in their lessons. This is an ongoing commitment. If you have a block of time weekly or monthly, this would be an amazing way to leave a positive impact on our campus.

The Sam Houston Wrangler program is designed to bring positive male role models onto our campus and create meaningful connections with our students. 

Wranglers participate in ways that fit their schedules. They host Fist Bump Fridays, project nights, special activities and hands-on opportunities alongside our students. 

Dads, grandfathers, uncles, guardians, family friends and community members are all welcome. You do not have to commit to any event or need hours to give. Simply showing up, encouraging a student, sharing a skill, or offering a morning fist bump makes the biggest impact!
